Psalm, Tehillim Chapter 20

Victory over challenges

This psalm is a unique kind of royal Psalm: it is the invocation of a king about to go into battle. When you have to go through difficult and demanding situations: this is your prayer!

In esoteric tradition Psalm 20 is primarily used to overcome danger, face a heavy moment, or win a favorable legal verdict/judgment.

It is also invoked as a protection when facing hostile individuals expressing strong and vile opposition; or in sudden unexpected crises.

It is suggested whenever you fear about a specific situation you must face, to overcome danger or suffering "in the day of trouble".

In this psalm you ask for God’s blessing, and express confidence in His power to grant victory and fulfill the desires of the heart for those who trust Him.

It is a very powerful psalm, where the trust in God's action is total and certain, as well as the faith in God's plan for success.

You choose to recite this psalm to gain an unwavering reliance on God leading you to surrender control and develop optimism amidst uncertainty.

God's protection is real and effective! His help makes you grow in strength, understanding, and gratitude. His alliance is for ever!

Psalm, Tehillim chapter 88

Psalm 88 is the bleakest, most agonising lament in the Bible. There is no final hope or praise at the end. It concludes in total sorrow. And for this reason it is used in magic.

It gives full, unvarnished voice to human pain and total despair. Reciting it in front of God instantly gives the depth of one's desolation and the awful feeling of abandonment.

In kabbalistic texts, it is prescribed to purge bitterness, the potential lingering resentment, the emotional heaviness and the total desperation from one's heart.

In "The Book of the Magical Use of Psalms" (Shimmush Tehillim), the medieval Jewish manual that assigns the purposes of each psalm, it is also designed for the community's defense.

Psalms 87 and 88 are paired together and considered efficacious for saving or shielding a city, village, or community from grave peril or disaster.

The Book of Psalms tells the story of the different human emotions for the many situations and challenges of life. Where both joy and pain are offered to God with sincerity.

And the last psalm (150) is a total thanksgiving to God for his help, for the answered prayers and all the blessings. Hence, reste assure: God never abandon his creatures!

Psalm, Tehillim Chapter 90 & 91

In the Jewish tradition these two psalms belong together. And are read together when you don't feel safe: because of depression, illness, or tormenting thoughts or entites.

Psalm 90 corresponds to the Hebrew letter Tsade (צ), that relates to the Righteous Man (Tzadik) invoking the spiritual merits of the Righteous.

Its combination of words and letters connect to the Holy Name Shaddai (שד״י), famously associated with boundaries and protection.

Psalm 91 is a potent evil-warding text. The spiritual meaning of its number refers to divine union and angelic protection.

It is designated as an anti-demonic song used to ward off night terrors, pestilence, hostile spirits, bad thought or emotion, and any destructive entities.

The ancient mystical traditions  view them as a powerful prayer for healing and protection, granting divine refuge, and overcoming emotional or spiritual heaviness.

Psalms are Jewish. Miraculous power were assigned to them. Later, Christians adopted them. To activate their magic we should better stick to the Jewish instruction.

Psalm,Tehillim Chapter 27

Recite this psalm before unfamiliar situations, foreign conditions, a new environment or people,
to ensure a safe and respectable welcoming.

It is a good help when a person feels exposed, vulnerable, inadequate, in front of situations and people that may turn on them in a negative way.

It becomes a real spiritual shield that projects confidence and creates a positive reception from others.

It is read or prayed to ward off possible malicious intent, slander, or harm from enemies, hidden rivals, or disloyal associates.

The grimoire traditions suggested this very same psalm to be whispered into the ear of a savage or mulish livestock animal to calm and pacify it.

Any kind of wild force bursting out in clamour and dissonance can be tamed by imposing the sound of this psalm upon it.

Find the most resonating verses to repeat during the day while focusing on the specific element you want to restrain.

Psalm, Tehillim chapter 10

It is primarily used to remove negative or oppressive influences, cleanse heavy or toxic energy from a person's space, and break the power of malicious or unjust adversaries.

Removing negative influences in order to clear out lingering bad energy, hexes, or more simply toxic presences that make you feel cornered, overwhelmed.

You invoke divine justice when facing bullies, malicious gossip, or people who abuse their power, asking for the "arm of the wicked" to be broken.

In some grimoires it is utilised to cleanse a space or to free a person of troubling, low-vibrational attachments and expell restless spirits.

It is also suggested to recite it before praying or meditating to wash away feelings of defeat, build inner stamina, and restore self-assurance when facing hardship.

Read the entire text out loud from start to finish once, without stopping, treating it as a direct invocation or prayer of petition.

Read it again, slowly. Reflect on individual lines that resonate with your specific trial or obstacle, and focus on the shift from the initial distress to the ultimate confidence.

In the traditional practice, the recitation is repeated daily (often for 3 or 9 consecutive days) until a firm sense of peace or resolution settles in.

Psalm, Tehillim chapter 139

It is a Praise - and also a Lament Psalm. It is read for cultivating deep self-awareness, inner healing, and a sense of divine omnipresence.

Verse 14: "I praise you, so wonderfully you made me; wonderful are your works!" is used to overcome self-rejection and low self-worth.

Verses 13–16 are read, slowly, when you feel inadequate, in order to gain the perception of your physical form and mind as a real expression of divine art.

This psalm teaches that in knowing God you know about your own beauty. Loving God becomes self-love, as God is great and you: his creature, are great too!

Knowing yourselves by knowing God, your resonance with Him will even more tune Him in to you too. This is the foundation of your completeness in your entirety

Because of the profound and intimate relation you develop with God it is also recited for a good marital life, to become pregnant, or to bless a pregnancy

Procreation is connected to the creative process, consequently to any creation. You recite this psalm for a good relationship, a good project, a good result!

The strong resonance with God will make you true, solid, and lead you to "emanate" good achievement whatever they are!

Psalm, Tehillim chapter 4

It can be recited to victoriously face slander and distress and consequently to bring good luck, attract prosperity, secure success in business.

Before any important confrontation recite it while focusing on the good result. Some suggest to recite it when the sun is rising to absorb its growing power.

It's a prayer for deliverance from personal enemies. We can spend a lot of energy convincing others that our choices are just. It may work, or it may not.

But if we are straight and confident of our alignment with the Divine, we manifest an intense and just energy that will lead to positive results.

This psalm is also recited to win a contest or a lottery, as well as to win in court.

Our prayer to God should be passionate. It's important to express how much we need that positive result and how much we justly deserve it!

This is a David psalm, where we see how he often uses past mercy as a ground for future help. Therefore we too should say: "God, have mercy on me!"

Psalm, Tehillim chapter 76

Traditionally it is used as a powerful energy to tame destructive natural forces and neutralise aggressive enemies.

In the ancient esoteric teachings it is recited to protect and rescue a person from sudden elemental disasters, particularly floods or raging fires.

Its strong symbolism: of God breaking arrows shields and swords, makes it perfect to paralyse opposition, malicious intent, vindictive talk.

It is also recited to subdue overwhelming odds: like deep life crises, financial or legal worries, severe distress, strenuous challenges.

As any magical use of the psalms you should read it outloud and the words must be spoken with complete focus, reverence, and clear intent.

God is a loyal defender who breaks the blades of your enemies and can quiet the "chariots and horses" of your struggles with a single word.

Recognise when you should turn to God your battles and fear of other people.

In the divine timing, trust and faith make wonders come true!

This is a psalm that also inspires your creativity. When you feel mentally dull, this is the right prayer to become present and alert, ready to think and act again.

Psalm, Tehillim chapter 39

Traditionally it is used for combating physical pain, dispelling fear, seeking courage, and achieving peace of mind

Consequently it is suggested in case of violent relationships, abusive situations, when it seems there is no way out and no hope

It calms inner turmoil,it helps in overcoming anxiety, and confronting looming dread. It smoothes the inner turmoil and instills courage

Psalm 39 is a poetic prayer about the shortness of human life, the pain of unexpressed grief, and finding hope in God alone when facing suffering

It underlines the trap of silence: when David tries to keep quiet and hide his frustration around wicked people so he won't say something sinful!

But, in holding his feelings it only makes his inner pain and emotional heat worse! Until he finally speaks addressing his heart to God

There is the recognition that the current pain is sent by God for him to understand what he is doing wrong. Because God consumes "what is precious to him"!

He cries for help, and having learned his lesson, he can ask God to be delivered from the heavy plague punishing him so badly!
